1. About

I’m Rachael Maddux and I’m a writer and editor living in Decatur, Ga.

I grew up in Chattanooga, Tenn. and have spent the last few years living in and around Atlanta, where I earned a degree in Media, Rhetoric & Culture from Oglethorpe University and worked for four years at Paste

In 2010, I was a finalist for a National Magazine Award in Reviews & Criticism for three pieces I wrote for Paste. That was pretty neat.

These days, I edit Georgia Tech’s alumni magazine and write essays and cultural criticism for a bunch of different folks, including Pitchfork, The Paris Review’s Daily blog, eMusic, and The Oxford American.

You can take a gander at some of my published work right here. If you’d like to get in touch, just follow your heart and/or this link.
